Housing Placement Priorities

The Neighbor Match team has decided to prioritize the housing needs of folks using the following criteria  –

  1. Residents who have been living in South Santa Barbara County for a number of months and have been evicted through no fault of their own and/or have new health or immigration status challenges
  2. Santa Barbara workers who have been employed in Santa Barbara but are currently commuting 30 minutes or more from their work
  3. In the future, as our community is able to improve our vacancy rate (which is currently zero) we can explore helping younger folks who can fulfill much needed job openings.
